  • "Lyn understands how to connect people of all ages through music making. As a guest for the Eastern Music Festival, she met the students where they were and engaged them in a manner that enabled them to be authentic. Lyn pushes the boundaries by creating comfortability and lands folks square in the middle of improvisation by way of an organic flow of human connection and play."

Dr. Kami Rowan – Charles A. Dana Professor of Music, Guilford College

  • "Her thoughtful songwriting, combined with powerful vocals and ever-expanding mastery of the guitar, come together to make her performances compelling to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. She's been skyrocketing in the last few years, expanding her presence to a national audience while somehow managing to keep her roots firmly planted here in Greensboro."

  • "If you're looking for a band with an upbeat vibe who knows how to get a crowd on the dance floor, Taboo Sue is the band for you! Taboo Sue has headlined several benefit shows for Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center and they were instrumental (no pun intended) in the success of each event. Collectively, they are a great band and individually they are great humans who each bring their individual style and charisma to the stage. There's something for everyone in their diverse and fun set lists!"

    Jennifer Ruppe, Executive Director
Guilford Green Foundation & LGBTQ Center

  • "I've collaborated with Lyn on several projects, and all I can say is - if you ever have the chance to work with Lyn, do it! You won't be disappointed! Lyn has a masterful way of working with singers of any skill level or repertoire difficulty. Her playful spirit and enthusiasm turned even challenging music I'd chosen for groups into a joyful exploration full of laughter and creativity. I am continually asked when my next collaboration with Lyn will be, and the answer is always, "Soon!" "

Dr. Stephen A. Emberely,-Pianist, Music Coach, Artist

I wrote We Are the Girls while I was director of a nonprofit music school that provided free instruments and music instruction to underserved youth. My hope was to create a song that young girls could identify with, would amplify their voices, and empower self-expression.
